AC PCB Functions
PCB (Printed Circuit Board) is the “brain” of the AC. It controls fan speed, temperature (thermostat), swing, and even receives signals from the remote.
Symptoms of a Problematic PCB
- The indicator/lamp timer flickers continuously and the AC won't start.
- The AC turns on briefly then shuts off by itself (often caused by a temperature sensor or thermistor error).
- The AC does not respond to the remote at all (even though the remote battery is new).
- The indoor fan runs slowly even though it's set to maximum.
Replace or Repair?
Replacing an original module can cost Rp 500,000 up to over Rp 1,000,000 (especially for Inverter AC). A more economical option is to repair the damaged IC/relay components at an AC specialist electrical workshop, costing around Rp 200,000 - 400,000.
Field Notes from Pandan Teknik Technicians
The article above provides a general overview of what we often encounter in the field. However, each AC unit and room has unique characteristics (such as pipe installation length, ventilation, and heat load). If you notice similar symptoms on the AC in your home or business, you should not immediately draw conclusions. You can contact the Pandan Teknik team via WhatsApp to describe your complaints in detail. We will help analyze whether a light service, spare part replacement, or a technical survey visit is needed so that the repair is precise and cost‑effective.
