Causes of a Stuck Tank / Buzzing Only
This problem commonly occurs in Front Loading washers as well as 2-tank models.
- Weak Dynamos Capacitor: The dynamo lacks the power to start the rotation. Replace the capacitor with one of the same microfarad (uF) rating.
- Broken / Loose V-Belt: The fan belt that connects the dynamo to the tank has worn out or come loose.
- Corroded Gearbox / Bearing: Often happens when a water seal leaks into the lower mechanical section, causing rust and a complete jam.
Let a professional handle it if the issue is with the dynamo or gearbox, as special tools are needed to disassemble them.
Field Notes from the Pandan Teknik Technician Team
The article above gives a general overview that we frequently encounter in the field. However, each AC unit and room has unique characteristics (such as pipe length, ventilation, and heat load). If you notice similar symptoms on an AC in your home or business, it's best not to jump to conclusions. You can contact the Pandan Teknik team via WhatsApp to describe the complaint in detail. We’ll help analyze whether a simple service, spare part replacement, or a technical survey visit is necessary so that repairs are targeted and cost-effective.
