Causes of High Pressure Alarm
This alarm indicates that the Chiller compressor cannot effectively dissipate heat to the surrounding environment. The main causes are:
- Air Cooled Chiller: The condenser is extremely dirty or the condenser fan motor is dead. Clean the condenser immediately with chemical.
- Water Cooled Chiller: The cooling tower is dirty, the water circulation pump is dead, or the water flow (flow switch) is problematic.
Low Pressure Alarm
Conversely, if a Low Pressure alarm appears, the machine is likely low on refrigerant due to a leak, or the drier filter is clogged.

Field Notes from Pandan Teknik Technicians
The article above provides a general overview that we often encounter in the field. However, each AC unit and room has unique characteristics (such as pipe installation length, ventilation, and heat load). If you notice similar symptoms on the AC in your home or business, it is best not to jump to conclusions on your own. You can contact the Pandan Teknik team via WhatsApp to describe the complaint in detail. We will help analyze whether a light service, spare part replacement, or a technical survey visit is sufficient so that the repair is targeted and cost‑effective.
